Mission Accomplished
I would like to explain the shot of the lighthouse - Dyce's Head in my photography blog because it really has no revelation to birds like I usually post. To make a long story short - my niece has a picture of Dyce's Head sitting on the window sill in the kitchen. When visiting with her one day I immediately noticed that the picture had been damaged by water but she would still display it because it holds special meaning to her and her husband. So her birthday arrived this month and I thought it would be a wonderful gift to be able to replace that damaged picture she looks at every morning with a new one. So one cold day I decided to take "the ride" to Castine and take as many shots of that lighthouse as I could just to be sure I would get that perfect shot.
We went to visit with my niece and presented her with my gift and it happened. Just what I was hoping for. She "teared up". I was so glad I was able to do this for her.
