Crows and More Crows

This is the usual site from our living room window each morning. There is a dead tree across the road that is usually used as a sitting post for birds. We have seen quite a variety of birds there mostly Crows and Cock of the Woods.

A night of boys cooking

This was an evening of the "guys" cooking and the women making it taste good! Mostly Cheryl making it taste good. Tony and Dave - Daniel and Dylan went ice fishing at Toddy Pond and arrived home with Shrimp. That's right shrimp. Dylan was the only one who caught a fish! So they decided to stop at the local fish market down that way to surprise the women with shrimp for supper. Cheryl and I didn't feel much like ice fishing and freezing so we thought it would be a better idea if we went shopping and out to lunch. We ended up in Belfast! It was a very fun day. That day we vowed that once a month we would all get together and plan a day trip somewhere! Tony was the first to suggest for the month of February - which was Cody's Roadhouse -Rockport - I kind of have an idea - so we will see. I will post once a month of our trips - I'm sure each one will have a story to tell!

Another Visitor

This little fellow was in my window box. I put some dried up bread out there quite awhile ago and he found it. Carly has been going crazy just watching him! I'm sure he'll be back and Carly will be waiting.

January Thaw

What a great couple days with temperatures in the high 40's and 50's. Unbelievable!!! Wish it was Spring. I did notice the sound of more birds these past couple days. I also heard the Cock Of The Woods. So of course - I grabbed the camera and went onto the porch. He is just beautiful.

I also experimented with a reflection in the window of my cat.

One more note - Happy Birthday Amy! Hope you had a Special day and a Great doctor's visit......

Our Visit to Toddy Pond

Today we took a trip to Toddy Pond to clear the roof "Again" - definately was plenty to rake off and shovel off. Dylan thought he'd join us and put a few traps in the lake. While I was on the back side of camp raking the roof off -and Dave on the front side with the shovel - Dylan startles me by appearing on the very tip top. He decides he is going to slide off the roof - and he did! What a hoot! Needless to say - no fish were caught while we were there - but we did get some fresh cool air and exercise!

Snow and More Snow

Just a couple of pictures of our yard with all this snow. Maybe we'll get all the snow this month and not in March and April. Happy New Year!
